Professionals are increasingly recognizing the need for lifelong learning to navigate career challenges effectively. A LinkedIn study reveals that 90% of working professionals seek more guidance and support than before. It also highlights that 62% believe career growth now hinges on AI proficiency, while 63% stress the importance of continuous learning.
Key trends include 44% learning about tech advancements, 35% honing market analysis skills, and another 35% staying updated on social trends. When it comes to learning formats, 49% prefer videos with relatable anecdotes, and 38% value unscripted podcast discussions for making informed career decisions.
Nirajita Banerjee, Career Expert and LinkedIn India’s Head of Editorial, emphasizes the significance of staying updated. With AI and hybrid work reshaping industries, 78% of Indian workers already seek advice from peers and leaders to stay ahead. A proactive approach to learning, she notes, is key to adapting to these changes.
Banerjee also highlights the importance of adopting a growth mindset. While change can be daunting, approaching it with curiosity and openness can lead to mastery of new skills. For instance, practicing prompt writing or using AI tools for tasks like note-taking makes integrating these technologies easier over time.
Additionally, she advocates for “bitesize learning,” which breaks complex topics into manageable pieces. Short-form videos, she says, are particularly effective and engaging for professionals looking to acquire new knowledge and skills.
