Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly revolutionizing industries across the globe, fundamentally altering how we live, work, and connect. From machine learning to natural language processing, AI is driving significant progress in automation, data analysis, and decision-making.

A recent report by Bessemer Venture Partners highlights a notable trend: nearly 60% of companies focused on software-as-a-service (SaaS) are transitioning to incorporate AI technologies. With more than half of these businesses identifying as AI-enhanced SaaS providers and 34% as native SaaS, the distinction between traditional and AI-driven software is increasingly blurred.

Tushar Dhawan, a Partner at Plus91Labs, underscores the pivotal role of AI in software evolution. “AI is fundamentally transforming software development by addressing key aspects such as scalability, security, and performance,” Dhawan told LiveMint. “It can simulate various design scenarios, providing insights into how different choices affect software functionality.”

Visakh ST, CTO at Simplify3x, adds that AI significantly improves software development processes. “AI enhances traditional tasks like requirement definition, coding, testing, and maintenance. It offers intelligent solutions that save time and effort while providing deeper insights into user needs and behavior. This allows developers to create more tailored and effective software solutions,” Visakh noted.

According to Dr. Romel Bhattacharjee, Senior Analyst at Aranca, AI is evolving software from static tools to dynamic, self-learning systems. “Today’s software doesn’t just automate tasks; it anticipates user needs, uncovers new opportunities, and delivers innovative solutions,” he explained. “We’re witnessing early examples of this with algorithms that can predict disease outbreaks, compose music, create videos, and even design novel materials.”

Ranjit Kumar, CEO of Salescode.ai, points out that AI is shifting the focus from data collection to smart automation. “The real power of AI lies not just in accessing information, but in leveraging that information intelligently,” Kumar said. “AI is transforming sales automation by not only streamlining transactions and data visibility but also enhancing individual performance through personalized coaching and guidance. The advancements made in automation over the past three decades will be redefined by AI in just a few years.”

AI’s transformative influence is reshaping software development and automation, setting the stage for an innovative future where technology is more adaptive, insightful, and capable of solving complex problems.
